Teaching is a noble profession and the impact that a teacher has on students cannot be overstated. Teachers are trained properly to ensure that the students have access to quality education. Sunayan Pathak who hails from a small town in the heart of West Bengal- Bankura is one of the most dedicated teachers we have come across. Right from his childhood, Sunayan sir has proved his love, efforts, and dedication towards education. He completed his primary education from his village itself and then for his higher education, he shifted to another town. After completing his 12th standard, Sunayan sir pursued graduation and post-graduation from the most renowned university of West Bengal called the University of Burdwan. He even spent some time in the 'Temple Town' of West Bengal- Vishnupur for pursuing a B.Ed. degree from a well-renowned government college(NBSM).
His family has been teaching for more than five decades, hence, he says teaching is in his blood. He always wanted to be a teacher but he wanted to extend help to the students who had difficulty in understanding English, that is the sole reason he went for specialization in English and not in Bengali. Sunayan sir wanted to start something new that would help him reach a larger group/number of students and hence he constantly brainstormed and kept searching for ideas.
He realized that the major problem that students were facing was understanding English, hence, he came up with an innovative idea of teaching English in Bengali to the students who find it difficult. Sunayan sir created a Facebook page and started posting on that page. Within no time his page went viral and students started loving his page, more than 60 students joined him within very little time. He was slowly moving ahead with the execution of his idea when the pandemic hit the world.
The pandemic and the lockdown brought everything to a halt and majorly affected the lives of millions of students out there. Sunayan sir refused to lose hope, and he continued with teaching his students online. Sunayan sir worked really hard day and night to give the best to his students but many hurdles came his way, the most problematic for him was the class recording. He used to record his classes but they would be very heavy files without good sound quality. Soon, multitasking also started causing him troubles since using multiple platforms was nothing more than a huge unwanted hustle for him.

A positive classroom environment is essential as it enables students to be inquirers and explorers and true leaders of their own learning, A positive environment is where children are able to work as a team, celebrate each other’s achievements, and learn from mistakes.
