HTET-2021
Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test is a state-level examination commonly known as HTET, the examination is conducted by the Board of School Education. The examination is conducted to meet the requirement of teachers in the schools and provide quality education to the students across Haryana. The HTET exam is held to recruit teachers for different categories of teachers such as Primary Teacher (PRT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in schools run by Haryana State Government. The aspirants seeking jobs as a teacher within Haryana shall definitely appear for HTET 2021.
EXAM PATTERN FOR HTET
All three levels of the HTET exam have the same Objective type questions-based questionnaire with a total of 150 questions. Each question holds one mark for the correct answer and there is no negative marking for any wrong answer hence, the students can attempt all the questions. The duration of the exam is 150 minutes or 2hour 30 minutes and the exam is held offline.
HOW TO APPLY FOR HTET
To apply for HTET, you need to log in to the HTET official website, www.haryanatet.in, and upload the candidate's photo, signature and other necessary details. You should then move on to make the payment and the application fee is as follows:
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND SYLLABUS OF HTET
The eligibility criteria of HTET are quite simplified, to ensure the appointment of the best teachers for the students, the institution has set three different eligibility criteria for three different categories. The syllabus of the exam also varies for different levels. There’s no age limit and there’s no restriction on the number of times someone can appear for the exam.
Level-1
Primary Teacher (class 1-5)
The candidate must have completed his 12th standard from a recognized board and must also hold a diploma in elementary education(D.El.Ed). If a candidate aspires to teach students of classes one to five, then they must fulfill these eligibility criteria.
SYLLABUS OF HTET LEVEL-1
The syllabus for the level-1 exam includes the understanding of subjects like- -Child Development and Pedagogy
-Languages (Hindi & English)
-Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and General Awareness
-Mathematics and Environmental Studies
Level-2
Trained Graduate Teacher (class 6-8)
The candidates willing to be trained graduate teachers and teach the students of class sixth to eighth then candidates must have completed their 12th standard from a recognized board along with a bachelor's degree. The candidates must also hold a degree in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).

The level-2 exam demands a deep knowledge of subjects like-
-Mathematics and Environmental Studies
-Languages (Hindi & English)
-Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and General Awareness
-Subject Opted by the Candidates (Social Studies/ Science/ Mathematics/ Others)
Level-3
Post Graduate Teacher (above 8)
To teach the students of class eight and above and be a post-graduate teacher a candidate needs to hold a master's degree from a recognized university with minimum passing marks. A Bachelor of Education degree or B.Ed. is also an important criterion.
