Top Scholarships for Uttar Pradesh students
Pre-matric scholarship for ST/ SC/ General Category
This scholarship is provided by the Social Welfare Department of the Government of Uttar Pradesh and is meant for those UP resident students who belong to SC/ST/General category its main objective is to promote secondary education among the UP children, encouraging them to finish their formal education. The criterion for applying for this scholarship is that the child should be in class 9 or 10 and the family of the child should be making 1 lakh rupees per annum or less from all their sources. The application needs to be submitted between July and October through the official Saksham portal of the UP Government.
Post-Matric Scholarship for ST/ SC/General Category
Both General and SC/ST category students of UP who are looking towards getting graduation or higher-level studies can apply for this scholarship scheme. This UP scholarship is provided by the Social Welfare Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and is open for students who are pursuing graduation, PG, Ph.D., or other higher education. The students that belong to the General category need to have an annual family income of fewer than two lakhs per annum from all sources. However, for students who are from the SC/ST category, the annual family income needs to be less than two and a half lakhs per annum from all sources. Pre-Matric Scholarship for Minorities
This UP scholarship is meant to benefit the minority community students of Uttar Pradesh specifically. Post-Matric Intermediate Scholarship for Minorities
This scholarship is granted to students of Uttar Pradesh who are from minority communities for their academic career advancement in classes 11 and 12. The annual income of the family should also be less than two lakh rupees per annum from all sources. It is provided by the Minority department and the application timeline is from July to November via the Saksham portal of the UP government.
Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC students
This UP scholarship is for students of Uttar Pradesh from the OBC category studying in classes 9 and 10. The students in need of financial assistance for their studies are offered variable awards for completion of their formal education. The applicant’s family income should also be less than one lakh per annum from all sources. It is offered by the Backward Class Welfare Department of the UP Government between the months of July and October through the Saksham online portal of the UP government.
Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students
Students who are netizens of Uttar Pradesh and who belong to the OBC category can benefit from this UP scholarship. The student should be pursuing studies at graduation, PG, Ph.D., or other higher-level studies.
