Similar to the above course, this is a double-degree course where B.Sc, Bachelor of Science, and B.Ed courses are combined. The duration of the course is for four years and to become eligible for this course one should have passed the 12th board examination with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate marks in the Science stream.
3.TTC
Trained Teachers Certificate (TTC) - is an undergraduate course. It is conducted by the Teacher’s Training Department of Loreto House. The duration of this course is two years. Teachers with TTC can teach in English medium primary schools. This two-year course covers a wide area and aspects in teaching such as child psychology, English, Geography, and other subjects that are necessary to equip a teacher for teaching in a primary school/ class. Some people pursue B.Ed after doing TTC and then, they can teach in higher-level classes as well.
4.D.El.Ed
D.El.Ed or Diploma in Elementary Education is an elementary teacher training diploma certificate program. As the name suggests, it prepares the students who are taking this course to be an elementary teacher. The duration of the course is two years. To be eligible for the course, one should have passed the 12th board examination. There are no restrictions based on the stream that you have chosen in 12th grade. 5.BTC
Basic Training Certificate is a two-year certificate course. It is recognized by NCTE( National Council for Teacher Education)Government of India. BTC is a mandatory training certificate required for those who are planning to teach in govt. primary schools. The main aim of the program is to train teachers for imparting quality education at the primary level.
6.B.P.Ed.
B.P.Ed or Bachelor of Physical Education is also known as the BPE course. This is an undergraduate degree course that focuses just on Physical Education. PE teachers should have passed this exam in order to be eligible to teach children. The duration of the course is three years. The eligibility criteria for this course is 50 percent aggregate in the 12th board examination. Certain institutes ask for higher aggregate qualification.
7.B.Ed
B.Ed or Bachelor of Education is the most popular teacher training course in India and is widely recognized. It is a post-graduate course. Any graduate can enroll for the course after completing their degree in the discipline or subject of their choice. This degree is mandatory for becoming a teacher at the secondary or higher secondary level in all govt institutions. Some private institutions do not demand B.Ed.
