CBSE Board Exam Updates

Owing to the alarming increase in the number of COVID cases, the Ministry of Education has announced that the CBSE Board exams for class 10 have been canceled. The Exams for class 12 have been postponed and the dates will be decided later. The discussion to finalize the dates for CBSE Board Exams for 12th is scheduled to happen on June 1. They also added that the students will be notified about the dates at least 15 days before the commencement of the exams.

The ministry also announced that the results for CBSE class 10 will be decided based on an objective criterion. The criteria will be developed by the board in the upcoming days. There were a lot of uncertainties and speculations centered around the board exams due to the surge in COVID cases. After a detailed discussion with the Honorable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, the Ministry, on Wednesday, April 14th, 2021, took the decision to cancel the CBSE Board exam for class 10.

A large number of concerned parents and students had raised the need to postpone the exams and reconsider the dates.  Over 1.84 lakh new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours in the country. The revision of exam dates for class 12 and the cancellation of the CBSE Board Exam for class 10 is for the welfare of the students and the citizens of the country.
