How To Be A KVS Teacher?

“Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today.”

― Malcolm X
Every teacher aspires to work in a reputed organization, where they are respected, loved, and valued for their knowledge and talent. Teaching is an admirable role and is considered one of the noblest professions by everyone. With over ninety-five lakh teachers in India, the education sector is considered an important pillar of the Indian economy. Every teacher in India desires to be a part of KVS, with a hope to contribute to the betterment of the country in the best way possible.

What is KVS? KVS stands for 'Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan', and is one of the largest organizations with almost 1,247 schools all over India. A large number of students in India attend KVS and hence, the government makes sure to recruit eligible and talented teachers to teach these students effectively and efficiently.

In order to recruit efficient teachers, KVS keeps on conducting various teaching exams such as TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher), PGT (Post Graduate Teacher), PRT (Primary Teachers), these exams and recruitment opportunities are open to candidates all over India. The vacancies released by KVS are generally 8000+ in number and teaching at KVS is a golden opportunity for all the aspiring as well as existing teachers in India. The age limit for the TGT level is 35 years, for the PGT level it is 40 years and for PRT the age limit is 30 years. If a candidate is willing to apply as a teacher in KVS, they should keep a check on whether they fall under the age limit criteria set by the government and KVS.

Eligibility Criteria for KVS
