In today’s segment of ‘Teachers of Teachmint’, we bring to you the story of Ayesha Khanum, a PRT teacher full of enthusiasm. Ayesha Ma’am hails from Bangalore, Karnataka. She is dedicated to her profession more than anything. She completed higher secondary education at Noble Cent English School. She wanted to pursue engineering, however, due to some family issues, she dropped the idea. Finding the best solution during the situation, she decided to pursue a diploma in Computer Education. She knew the scope of the teaching profession, therefore, she decided to pursue D.El.Ed(Diploma Course in Elementary Education).
Right after completing her education, she got an offer from a renowned school in Bangalore and decided to go ahead with the opportunity. Today, it’s been eight years since she is teaching as PRT and she feels proud to have helped thousands of students in this course of time.
When the Covid-19 outbreak brought everything to a standstill, she decided to start teaching online. Since she is a primary teacher and teaches students of classes nursery to one, she wanted to make her online classes as interactive and interesting as possible. She wanted an online teaching platform that would help her in managing more than 150 students easily. When she came across Teachmint, she knew it was a perfect match for her requirements. Ayesha Ma’am strongly believes that it's the responsibility of the teachers to make learning fun and interesting for the students. Teachers should ensure that students are actually understanding the concepts rather than simply mugging up, she added. She mentioned that she loves experimenting with her teaching styles and using different teaching methods is her way of ensuring that her students love attending her classes.
