Mantosh Kalashastri is a fine arts teacher who provides arts classes to students of standards 10-12. Moreover, he helps his students understand what they can do to make a career in fine arts. He has formed a group, Shilpapankan Fine Art Group, to help students learn about various aspects of art and culture. Talking about his journey as a fine arts teacher, he says, ‘When I was doing my graduation, I used to write letters and make paintings. It was more of a hobby and also served as a source of income for me. Then, I decided to make a career out of my passion for arts and crafts. To get more clarity on the subject, I decided to do my undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Fine Arts. Right now, I am doing my Ph.D. in the same field.’ Mantosh Sir also adds that he worked as a contractual teacher under the Uttar Pradesh government for approximately four years. During that phase, he helped multiple students understand the basics of fine arts and explore different aspects of the subject.
To explore his love for art and culture, Mantosh Sir is also associated with various projects under the Archeological Survey of India. His task is to restore famous paintings that were made hundreds of years ago.
Talking about online teaching and how he got to know about Teachmint, Mantosh Sir says that he learned about the platform when searching for online teaching platforms. He says, ‘I found Teachmint on Play Store and decided to try the app. It was easier to set up my classes on the platform and connect with my students. As I provide art classes, I needed high-video quality, and Teachmint provided the best audio and video quality for my classes. Moreover, I liked the fact that the platform is Made in India.’
“I like all the features of Teachmint. However, the features that work the best for my students are practice questions and assessments. Also, I like the automated attendance feature as it makes the task easier for me. Now, I don’t have to track my students’ attendance manually.”
Mantosh Sir has a special message for his students. He says, ‘Learning is a process that ensures an individual’s growth. During this process, students should try connecting with teachers at any point in time. When students can solve their doubts in real-time, they can give their best.'
We are proud to be associated with Mantosh Sir and teachers of his kind. We wish him all the best and hope to continue learning from him.
