The National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning and IIT Madras has launched a program to provide free coaching to candidates appearing for the GATE examination. Jointly they have launched an online platform that offers training to the aspirants. GATE is a national-level exam that helps students get admission to Ph.D. or master’s level courses in IITs, NITs, IISc, and other top-notch colleges. Moreover, the GATE exam also opens doors for jobs at multiple PSUs.
The NPTEL GATE Portal is accessible to all students, and they can take the course anytime. Through this portal, students will get access to video solutions, practice tests, and online assistance. The available learning resources will help them prepare better for the GATE examination. Every year, almost 10 lakh students give this exam to give a new direction to their career. After successfully qualifying the exam, they can get a job in PSUs or choose to continue their academic journey by taking admission to a master's course in engineering colleges. The online portal aims to make the preparation journey easier for the aspirants.
The NPTEL Portal is a one-stop platform covering every aspect of exam preparation. This platform covers every trick and concept necessary to crack the examination. Moreover, the platform also has a feature of live mentoring. The portal was launched during an event hosted by IITM PALS. It is a social initiative of IIT alumni to augment engineering education.
