Introduction
There are numerous social concerns in society that are of great importance and may have an immediate or indirect impact on the community and human lives. Sometimes it's simply too much to think about them and sit idly without doing anything to stop or change it. So, what can be done on a personal level? The answer is simple, but not as easy as it appears - personal responsibility. Mahatma Gandhi said - “Be the change you wish to see around the world.”
The Gandhi Fellowship Programme is one such bold project that believes a person can influence the change he or she desires and that an individual is as much responsible for the impact and changes in society as anybody else.
What is the Gandhi Fellowship Programme?
The fellowship’s motto is "Build Self, Build Nation," and it intends to give a jump start to the nation's passionate youth to implement critical reforms in the public education system. It attempts to provide the mentorship needed to help students comprehend the issues and identify the gaps, and then work carefully to come up with interactive and innovative solutions to them. Through its activities, it instills numerous skills and qualities needed in a potential leader to influence and move people.
The Gandhi Fellowship Programme is a two-year intensive residential journey supported by the Piramal School of Leadership and the Kaivalya Education Foundation. It has worked tirelessly since 2008 to develop leaders capable of challenging traditional conventions and driving transformational change.
This residential program lasts two years, and candidates must be physically present on campus to support school headmasters. This fellowship program intends to create a turning point for schools and assist them in reaching new heights in terms of competency and growth.
