22nd of December is celebrated as the National Mathematics Day of India to honor & commemorate the achievements of famed Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. His accomplishments are quite remarkable and are used in various fields of mathematics and physics.
As part of National Mathematics Day, Teachmint is taking the initiative to help teachers upskill themselves by organizing a Masterclass.
Masterclass is an initiative by Teachmint to help different members of the education ecosystem learn from eminent leaders through curated and exclusive sessions. From teachers and students to school leaders and parents, Masterclass aims at creating unique opportunities for all of them to learn from the best in their fields and implement these insights to strengthen their expertise.
This National Mathematics Day, the session will be conducted by renowned Mathematics educator, Satyam Mishra.
About Satyam Mishra
Satyam is an engineer turned educator and has recently been selected for the prestigious Fulbright DAI (Distinguished Awards in Teaching Program for International Teachers) Scholarship 2022-23.
He was also one of the UNESCO Global Teacher Prize Finalists, Varkey Foundation, in 2021. He is well known for his work with marginalized communities and was elected as a ’Shaper’ and ‘Impact Officer’ at the Global Shapers Community (GSC), an initiative of the World Economic Forum (2019 - present).
To top it all off, he is a 3-time TEDx Speaker, a 'Network Connector’ (NC) at Teach For All, and a former Coach, Inclusive Education Fellowship at Teach For All.
About the Masterclass
This Masterclass will primarily focus on how teachers can make mathematics fun and interesting for students, providing them with practical and popular techniques that can be implemented in the classroom.
