Today we bring you the story of Rahul Gour, a private educator from Bhopal. Continue reading to know more about his inspirational teaching journey.
Rahul Sir runs a private tuition center, Addiction Classes in Bhopal, where he prepares students for various competitive exams. He helps students in the preparation for exams like banking, SSC, railways, and other state-level government exams. When talking about his journey as a teacher, he says,
“I was always inclined towards teaching but decided to give this field a try when preparing for my UPSC exam. At that time, my elder brother was also preparing for various state-level government exams. He asked me to help him with the non-technical subjects. I decided to give it a try and helped him cover the entire syllabus within 20 days. I was excited and happy when my brother got selected for the exam. That day, I knew I had to make teaching my career."
Talking about the educational qualifications of Rahul Sir, he mentions that he has completed his undergraduate in computer science. Later, he pursued a master's in geography. He says, ‘I could not continue my higher education because of financial constraints at home. As a result, I decided to make teaching a full-time career. I started my institute to help students prepare for different competitive exams. Recently, I have started teaching students in classes 6 to 10.'
When asked about how his classes are different from other classes in the same category, Rahul Sir mentioned that he helps his students learn the concepts in detail. Moreover, he helps them apply the concepts to solve everyday problems. He says,
“I encourage my students to build healthy relationships among themselves. If they are not comfortable around me, they might face issues asking questions. As a result, they might not perform well in the exams. So I try to maintain a joyful and comfortable environment in my classes.”
We also asked Rahul Sir about his reaction after getting the Diamond Educator Award. To answer this question he says, ‘I was waiting for this award for a long time. When I finally received the award, I felt special. I was excited and proud to have received this award.’
Talking about his passion for teaching, Rahul Sir mentions, ‘I am fortunate to know that I am inclined towards teaching. Many people keep on doing the work that they don’t enjoy doing. I am happy that I am in a profession that I love. I would want to continue teaching for the rest of my life. Moreover, Teachmint made the teaching-learning journey easier for me.
