The Rajasthan Public Service Commission has invited applications for 9,760 vacancies for the position of Senior Teacher Grade 2 in the Secondary Education Department. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the website rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in. After filling up the application form, candidates will have to appear for a written examination consisting of two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates willing to appear for the RPSC senior teacher recruitment need to be aged between 18-40 years as of 1st January 2023. However, the state government has allowed an age relaxation for applicants from the reserved categories.
Educational qualifications for candidates
Applicants can apply for various subjects through this recruitment process. Applicants willing to teach languages like Hindi, English, Urdu, Punjabi, and Math need to be a graduate or should have appeared in an equivalent examination recognized by the UGC with the concerned subject taken as an optional paper. Moreover, they should hold a degree or diploma in education recognized by the National Council of Teacher Education.
Likewise, applicants willing to teach social studies should be a graduate of a university or college recognized by the UGC. In addition, they must have taken at least two of the below-mentioned subjects as optional papers. These subjects include:
- Economics
- History
- Geography
- Political Science
- Sociology
- Philosophy
- Public Administration
In addition, they should hold a degree or diploma recognized by the National Council of Teacher Education.
Similarly, applicants willing to teach science should have at least two of the following subjects as optional.
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Bio technology
- Zoology
- Micro biology
- Botany
- Biochemistry
Other requirements remain the same. The application fee for general category candidates stands at INR 350. However, there is a waiver for candidates belonging to other categories.
